Dark And Darker Mobile Opens Up Pre-Registration

Here's what's next for Dark and Darker Mobile.

During Gamescom Opening Night Live, a new cinematic trailer was shown off for Dark and Darker Mobile, Krafton's upcoming dark fantasy game. While there wasn't any new gameplay in this trailer, it did serve as a reminder that fame and fortune can be yours, if you don't mind being constantly killed by horrors lurking in the dungeons. You can now pre-register for the game on mobile platforms, so you'll stay informed of when it's available.

A global beta test for Dark and Darker Mobile was held in the United States, Japan, Turkey, and South Korea earlier this month, giving players access to more features and a new area called the Shadow Realm. An extraction fantasy-RPG that's set in medieval dungeons, Dark and Darker Mobile is based on the PC multiplayer game of the same name from South Korean developer Ironmace and is being published by PUBG and The Callisto Protocol's parent company, Krafton.

Players not only have to contend with monsters and traps while they explore dungeons, but they also have to watch out for other players who might be waiting to battle them and steal their loot. To bring said booty home, players have to survive and extract via magic portals before a deadly miasma fills up the dungeon and kills everyone inside. Dark and Darker Mobile was announced during a controversial time for the original Dark and Darker PC game, and it was confirmed that Krafton's Bluehole studio was developing the mobile version.

Some of the big differences in this version include being able to choose between going into PvE or PvP dungeons and the Sidekick system that allows players to recruit AI-controlled companions that can accompany them and power up over time. Another notable change is that players can also enter a dungeon with several buffs to help them survive, and Krafton has confirmed endgame content will let players brave the most-dangerous dungeons for unique rewards.
