Survival is of the essence in Black Myth: Wukong. Naturally, that means using your gourd (i.e. flask) to replenish lost health. However, you should also consider various items that can alter these effects. Here's our guide to help you find all gourd drinks and soaks in Black Myth: Wukong.
Where to find all gourd drinks and soaks in Black Myth: Wukong
There are Black Myth: Wukong drinks and soaks scattered across the game's regions. These are usually found inside glowing kettles and containers. Some are also sold by an NPC named the Shen Monkey.
How drinks and soaks work in Black Myth: Wukong
You can check all the Black Myth: Wukong drinks and soaks you've acquired at any shrine. Simply select the Brew option to open the menu. Here's how to distinguish between these items:
- First off, your actual flask/gourd is a separate equipment. This usually determines how many charges you have by default.
- Drinks provide a base effect, usually related to healing amount and a particular stat buff. Each drink also has a number of available slots.
- Soaks are equipped in each drink's available slots. These provide secondary effects that are also activated whenever you use your flask.
How to upgrade drinks and soaks
The Shen Monkey NPC is originally found in the Marsh of White Mist area in Chapter 1. Later once you've unlocked the Painted Realm, he's one of the vendor NPCs that moves to this new area. The Shen Monkey allows you to upgrade your gourds by using Luojia Fragrant Vines. You may also upgrade drinks by using Awaken Wine Worms. These upgrades can either increase the number of slots or healing properties.
