Prime Day: The Best Gaming Monitor Deals

A decent monitor is essential to any gaming setup--for obvious reasons--and for Prime Day, we're seeing some massive discounts on these high-tech displays. From Samsung to Asus, modern-day monitors are ideal for making your games look fantastic. You don't even need to use them exclusively for your PC, as you can enjoy the benefits of these displays by hooking up a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S console to them as well.
For this list, we've rounded up the biggest of the Prime Day deals on monitors--specials where you can save an absurd amount of cash when you check out. If you're looking to get something that's downright massive, look no further than Samsung's line of ultrawide monitors, which are big enough to block oncoming traffic. The Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED monitor combines crisp image quality and rich colors in a gigantic 32:9 frame, and while that aspect ratio isn't the best for every type of game, it's still brilliant for anyone who is looking to have two monitors running inside of a single device. This was quite pricy when it first launched last year, but you can save $700 and grab it for just $1,100.
Prefer something on the budget-friendly side instead? There are some good alternatives here to give you bang for your buck, especially if you're fine with an HD display. Maybe you have a kid in the house who wants to enjoy a less-demanding game like Fortnite, which is where a monitor like the Acer KB272 comes into play. For $90, you're getting a decent 27-inch 1080p monitor, a 100Hz refresh rate, and AMD Freesync to keep screen-tearing away.
Then there are the middle-ground monitors that hit a trifecta for size, quality, and price. At this level, you're looking for something that provides you with a 1440p resolution inside of a 32-inch or larger frame. This is a nice sweet spot for gaming on a monitor, and some of the standout examples here include the Asus ROG Strix XG32UQ for $600 (normally $870) and the superb widescreen LG UltraGear QHD 34-inch monitor for $500 (normally $650).
