Hollow Knight: Silksong Will Not Be Shown At Gamescom Opening Night Live
Keep your expectations in check.
Team Cherry will not be showing anything related to Hollow Knight: Silksong this week, much to the dismay of many fans.
Host Geoff Keighley said on Twitter, "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL. Team Cherry is still cooking." Fans have taken the announcement and responded to it in humorous ways in order to cope with the news. One user said, "So you're saying Bloodborne 2 has a chance," referencing the endless requests from fans for a Bloodborne follow-up or at least a release on PC and PS5.

Another user said, "I appreciate the update man but was the pic necessary?" They were pointing out the image with the main character in clown makeup that Keighley used. It's a common trend that appears when fans hope that Silksong shows up whenever a showcase like a Nintendo Direct is announced.
Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024 airs on August 20 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET in Cologne, Germany. Games that have been confirmed to be shown during the event include Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Indiana Jones and the Great circle, and a new title from Little Nightmares developer Tarsier studios.
