One of the most sought-after Final Fantasy compilations--Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster for the Nintendo Switch and PS4--is finally coming to major retailers in the US on October 8. The initial print run went up for preorder exclusively at the Square Enix Store in late 2022 and sold out extremely fast. It seems like Square has prepared for the huge demand, as preorders for the reprinting of Final Fantasy I-VI Collection, which went live on August 8, are still available two weeks later. That said, it'd still be wise to preorder to ensure you secure a copy of the Anniversary Edition printing. Along with pixel remasters of the first six Final Fantasy games on one cart (or disc), you'll get a sticker sheet featuring pixel characters from the series.

You can preorder Final Fantasy I-VI Collection for $75 for Nintendo Switch and PS4 at Amazon. It's also available to order at other select retailers, including: Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and GameStop. While you wait for your order to arrive, consider checking out FF Dot: The Pixel Art of Final Fantasy, a lovely book filled with gorgeous pixel art.

Since early Final Fantasy games can feel dated in some respects, other enhancements include a modernized UI, auto-battle options, turning off random encounters, adjustable experience points multipliers, and other boost features. If you're looking to add a few more of the other almost-as-classic Final Fantasy games to your collection, Square Enix does have physical editions of them readily available.
