Best Buy has brought back its popular buy two, get one free Nintendo Switch games deal for Plus and Total members. If you're already a member, you can dive into the expansive catalog and start saving right now--though note Best Buy hasn't released an end date for the deal. If you're not a Best Buy Plus or Total member, you can become a Plus member for just $50/year, which pays for itself immediately when cashing in on this B2G1 free deal.

With the exception of clearance and open-box listings, all Nintendo Switch games, including preorders, are eligible for B2G1 free. This includes both physical and digital formats, though you won't find preorders for digital Switch games at Best Buy. If you don't yet own a Switch but are interested in Best Buy's deal, your best bet is to buy the Nintendo Switch Lite Animal Crossing bundle deal for $159 at Walmart.

We've pulled together lists of notable preorders and Switch exclusives to help you navigate Best Buy's B2G1 free deal. Remember--you'll need to be a Plus or Total member to cash in on the event, but membership for the Plus tier will pay for itself immediately. You'll wind up saving $10 on your first three preorders if you're buying $60 games. After that, your overall savings will obviously increase with each order.

We separated preorders from currently available games and arranged both lists in alphabetical order. We bolded some of the most popular preorders as well as recent releases and games that rarely receive discounts.

With preorders included in the offer, this opens up a wealth of savings opportunities for highly anticipated Nintendo games like The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, and Emio: The Smiling Man - Famicom Detective Club. These upcoming games aren't likely to see discounts ahead of launch, making this a good way to save a few bunch and fill up your gaming calendar for the rest of the year.

If you're a JRPG fan, titles like Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Ys X: Nordics Deluxe Edition, Ys Memoire: The Oath of Felghana Refined Edition, and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven might be a better option.

Other great preorders in the B2G1 free event include RetroRealms Double Feature: Halloween and Ash vs. Evil Dead Special Edition (which includes a Michael Myers plush) and Final Fantasy I-VI Collection: Anniversary Edition.

As for games that are currently available, it's hard to beat The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link's Awakening, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Link's Awakening is an especially good one to pair with Echoes of Wisdom, as it shares a similar art style and top-down perspective. Another notable game to consider is Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Deluxe Set, which comes with the recently released compilation of retro challenges and some nostalgic collectibles.

Aside from this great offer, Plus members are eligible for free two-day shipping on select items, access to exclusive sales, and extended 60-day returns. My Best Buy Total is more expensive at $180/year, though it unlocks additional protection plans for electronics, 20% repairs, 24/7 tech support, and more.
